Class Descriptions:
In a Vinyasa yoga class, as compared to other stlyles of yoga, there is a greater emphasis on movement with breath. The classes are generally paced a little faster and there is a flow of movement from one pose to the next. A theme is usually picked for each class which is built into a progressive sequence.
Level 1: Explore your practice and your body in this Vinyasa class. The pace of this class is a little slower to allow you to become familiar with the alignment nuances in each pose and to begin to explore more challenging poses in a safe and structured way. Beginners are welcomed, but prior experience with some type of coordinated movement is recommended.
Level 1/2: Ready to take your Vinyasa experience to the next level? This class will introduce more challenging poses and interesting transitions. Inversions and arm balances are introduced in this class. This class is a little faster paced, so it is recommended that the practitioner is familiar with the basic poses.
Level 2/3: Be prepared to rock out those arm balances! In this class, we will explore advanced poses, challenging transitions and advanced breathing techniques. This class is intended for practitioners who are very comfortable with their practice and their own body.
